Short answer: Nope!

Longer answer: No, because the items are property of HCC, and our patrons are given the opportunity to borrow them for use. While we expect normal wear-and-tear to occur, writing, tearing out pages, "dog-earing," or otherwise causing the item to be more difficult for the next patron to use is not allowed.

If you noticed that a book you checked out had any kind of damage, please let us know so we can attempt to repair it.
