****NOTE - Access to many of the library database resources from off-campus is now linked to HCC student W# and personal password and not the barcode number. Faculty would use firstname.lastname and personal password. See the link below for more information about database access from off-campus.

Library barcode numbers are needed for accessing your personal library account, renewing items, placing item requests, etc.

For Students:

Log in to Student System, open the menu on the left titled Self Service and click on the link to Student Center. Once you've done this, scroll down to the field titled Personal Information and click on the link to Demographic Data. Your library barcode is the third number listed on this page, below your W-number.

You can also get a physical student ID card, which has your library barcode on the back. You can find more information about getting your student ID card on the Apply & Register page, under Step 5: Obtain your photo ID.

For Faculty/Staff:

Your barcode is located on the back of your physical Faculty/Staff ID card. You can get a physical Faculty/Staff ID card using the same process as students. You can find more information about getting your ID card on the Apply & Register page, under Step 5: Obtain your photo ID.

You can also contact an HCC library to be provided a barcode. You will need to know your employee ID number.
