EBSCO is a company that supplies information resources to many different libraries. The HCC libraries subscribe to many different EBSCO databases, and use EBSCOhost to access those databases. When you hear that someone used or searched EBSCO, they probably used a particular database, such as Academic Search Complete, MAS Ultra, or Literary Reference Center.

So remember: EBSCO is a company that provides database access to HCC in the form of many different databases. EBSCOhost is the method that they use to provide that database access. These databases might look alike when we go to their websites, but when we search through them, we find very different sets of organized information.
