Ten (10) is the maximum number of books that can be checked out at a time.

From our Loan Guidelines:

2.107.1.4 Students may have no more than 10 circulating items system-wide checked out at one time. Some libraries may limit the number of books that patrons may check out on a given subject. Overrides should occur at the discretion of the library.
